Pilbara waterfront village 'construction stage' nears completion with the release of 21 waterfront lots with private jetties

The last release of marina waterside lots, all with private jetties, are soon to be released. City and Suburban Group Pty Ltd were awarded the contract to develop the mixed use precinct in the new and exciting Exmouth Marina Village, with the major construction works now nearing completion. This precinct is expected to change the face of Exmouth and is known as 'the seaside playground for the Pilbara'.

Following the initial planning for the marina, the Developer has significantly changed the overall outline development plan to maximize the number of water front lots all with their own private jetties. This will make Exmouth a haven for boaties, anglers, international and Australian tourists, and self funded retirees seeking a second home in the sun.

In addition to the extensive residential opportunities offered within the marina, an island has been created with a large retail precinct which will harbour new restaurants, bars, boutiques, tourist and entertainment oriented shops and a 3000m2 public open space. The island connects to the 4.5 star beachside Novotel Ningaloo Resort by way of the largest single span pedestrian bridge in the southern hemisphere across the main canal.  The developer has received a number of expressions of interest for the commercial precinct, which includes a seafood restaurant, micro brewery, ice cream parlour, juice bar, surf shop, jewellery and boutique stores, amongst others.

Novotel Ningaloo Resort opened late in 2006 and has already received a number of awards. Designed in a contemporary 'beach-house' style, the resort sits above the dunes of Sunrise Beach, overlooking Exmouth Gulf.

Initial subdivision works on the project are nearing completion with titles anticipated to be issued in the coming months.  These initial works have cost $45,000,000 to complete and once titles are issued, construction will begin on the first apartments, villas, townhouses and the retail precinct.

Richard Pappas from City-Life Residential said, "We are very excited to be working towards the final collection of land to be released by the Developer. With Stage 1 and 2 of the Novotel Ningaloo Resort completed and fully operational, the opportunity to buy waterside land with a private jetty is fast drying up.  This land consists of some of the finest lots in the subdivision including just 21 canal lots with private jetties. These will be sold by way of registrations of interest and a launch on 7 November 2008."

The resources boom is expected to continue and fuel growth in this area for at least the next 10 to 15 years and Exmouth is a paradise breakaway for workers from BHP, Rio Tinto and Hamersley Iron in the Pilbara. But it's also a tourist destination in its own right, surrounded by natural beauty of the Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Marine Park. Diving sites here are some of the best to be found in Australia. Nearby Learmonth Airport is serviced by twice daily Skywest flights from Perth. For long distance cruisers, Exmouth Marina is a welcome safe haven for those taking on the often unhospitable west coast. Heading north, Exmouth offers the last bastion of marina civilisation before the daunting 1600 nautical mile passage to Darwin. The Exmouth Yacht Club, a short walk from the marina along the beach, welcomes visitors to join in their sailing events, or just to come along and socialise at the Friday night BBQ's. Sailing predominantly catamarans off the beach, the club races fortnightly most of the year, though their two biggest events for the year have little to do with sailing, but everything to do with raising funds and having fun. With a large lawn overlooking the gulf, the annual Oktoberfest is prominent on their fund raising calendar, as are Australia Day celebrations each January.
