Marina Village planned for Innisfail
| |
| Sea Haven is located to the east of Innisfail adjacent to the Johnstone River, bounded by Ninds Creek to the east, Coquette Rd to the south and River Rd to the west. Located 70 minutes by road from Cairns and just eight minutes from Innisfail town centre, the waterfront development is just four minutes by boat to the Coral Sea. Dunk, Bedarra, Brook, Barnard and Frankland Islands are all a short distance offshore from the mouth of the Johnstone River. The master plan provides for 56 marina berths as well as a commercial centre, which will include convenience store, cafes, restaurant and marina services. The marina precinct also has provision for a medium density three storey unit development. When the marina is fully operational, a refuelling area is proposed. Sea Haven is a 180 lot waterfront residential community, with many lots being sold with freehold water title for provision of your own marina berth. The development is spread over 27ha of land and 15ha of waterways. Protected by a lock system, which is 17m long by 5m wide, the lock is large enough for vessels up to 15m. The lake system consists of a central non-tidal saltwater lake engineered to a minimum depth of 3.3m with a mean lake standing water level of 0.5m and oriented for the conveyance of floods through the waterways. Mechanical pumps ensure water circulates within the lake system, which refreshes itself every 20 days. | |
