| Boasting a safe all weather deep harbour entrance and a modern 180 berth floating marina only minutes from the heads and the Tasman Sea, Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club (NCYC) is the perfect east coast stopover for all transient vessels up to 30m in length. All berths have water and power connected plus the facility has modern ensuite bathrooms and laundry facilities in which crews will find welcoming and comfortable. Being a major shipping port, Newcastle is also an official Port of Entry & AQIS clearance destination for boat imports and Customs clearances and departures. NCYC’s modern licensed club has a welcoming and casual atmosphere, serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week as well as breakfasts on weekends. Large expanse of glass opens up to bring the seaside ambience inside - it's a terrific place to spend a leisurely afternoon wining and dining. Weekly specials, a popular standard menu and great weekend breakfasts entice both locals and visitors to this attractive waterfront location. Marina services available at NCYC include a modern boutique boat yard with skilled shipwrights capable of carrying out all forms of maintenance & repair work. The travel lift can lift up to 40 tonnes & beam max of 5.6m. | NCYC’s harbour location makes a convenient port or call with many local
services that boating visitors require. Whether needing repair, maintenance, provisioning or just a shore side break in a central New South Wales location, Newcastle has plenty to offer. It is particularly handy to travel to and from Sydney northern suburbs and CBD, along with the nearby Hunter Valley wine growing region. Transport options are many with the east coast rail line a short walk away and a car hire company adjacent to NCYC Marina. These
qualities make NCYC a fantastic home base from which to enjoy Newcastle and surrounds. Fresh seafood just unloaded from the boat is available for purchase at the Newcastle fish co-op right next door. Plus, the award winning Rocksalt Restaurant is in the marina complex. Just a short 5 minute walk along the foreshore there are over a dozen excellent restaurants all overlooking Newcastle’s busy working harbour offering a fascinating waterfront outlook. Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club welcomes enquiries from cruising groups or clubs, offering group packages of berthing and dining options for either weekends or full week stays. Contact the Club to find out the details. Come, explore and enjoy what NCYC has to offer. See you soon! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
