Meridien Marinas Horizon Shores hosts a couple of hotly contested fishing competitions over the summer. The Berkley Summer Series is held over three Sundays and is a Classic way to get into the growing sport of tournament fishing. It's strictly catch and release, with a few other minor regulations to keep the fishing grounds fair. It's strictly lure and soft plastic fishing only, cast and retrieve style, so trolling and burley aren't used.
