Mooloolaba Marina

Mooloolaba Marina is situated riverside on a narrow spit of parkland five minutes walk from downtown Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. Wedged in between Mooloolah River to the south and the sweeping strip of Mooloolaba’s famous beach to the north, Mooloolaba Marina has a pretty handy location.

At the heart of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba is a coastal town with a labyrinth of man-made canals that snake through leafy suburbs an hours’ drive north of Brisbane.

The area has a vibrant holiday feel, no doubt in part because of all that sunshine and vast parklands that connect sea with civilisation. With mild winters and warm summers, it's a popular getaway destination year round.

Marina Access

The Marina is located in a safe, protected harbour, open all weather and all tides. Entry is via the mouth of the Mooloolah River at Point Cartwright (lighthouse).

For details on the latest conditions at the river entrance, please check current  Notices to Mariners on the Marine Safety Queensland web site.

Marina Berths

Berth sizes range from 10m to 18m, both mono and multihull berths, available for short or long term rental. All berths are well maintained and serviced and have water, power, fire hose reels and security lighting. A recent major refurbishment has seen the marina extended to 265 floating berths, all with power, water and lighting. There are 16 multi-hull berths available up to 18 metres long.

Please contact the Mooloolaba Marina Office to enquire about a berth for short term rental. Vessel owners do not need to have a Yacht Club membership to berth at Mooloolaba Marina, however all boats m
ust have 3rd party insurance.

Marine Services

A comprehensive range of marine services are available within a short distance. These include boatyard facilities, chandleries, fuel, marine mechanics, shipwrights, riggers and sail makers. Call into the Marina Office and they’ll give you information on who to see and how to find the right tradesmen.

Chandlery, Boat Repairs and Slipping

For all your general equipment and great advice on the best solutions, pop into Sunsport Marine, right next to the Yacht Club. Rope, wet wares, paint, safety gear, it's all there! For bigger jobs where slippage is required, head over to nearby Lawrie's Marina. They have haul out facilities and excellent marine maintenance businesses on site.

Office Services

The Marina Office is open seven days a week from 8.30 to 5.00 and provides mail, fax and photocopying facilities. The crew can also help out with calling a cab, recommending tours or restaurants as well as pointing you in the right direction for shopping expeditions. Latest weather reports are always available too.

Take your time and enjoy peaceful, pristine beaches, then discover the green hinterland and attractions beyond our white, sandy shore. Many attractions are within walking distance from the Mooloolaba Marina, including Mooloolaba's world famous marine attraction, Underwater World and of course the magnificent Mooloolaba Beach.

Just 15 minutes away is the popular hinterland town of Buderim on the ridge overlooking the Sunshine Coast, with quaint boutiques, shops and cafes. There's also walking trails to Buderim Falls in the Buderim Forest. Hinterland towns of Montville and Maleny (well known for resident artists, galleries and cafes) as well Eumundi and those famous Eumundi Markets are all located in the cool lush Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Also in the region is Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, easily accessible by bus from downtown. While you are berthed at the Mooloolaba Marina, take a ride up into the Blackall Range, a glorious 40 minute ride up into the lush hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. Sophisticated Noosa is just up the coast a little way if you're looking for fine dining amidst the oh so trendy set who flock to Noosa to escape Melbourne and Sydney winters.
