Redcliffe's Newest Marina Has Arrived! The first stage of Redcliffe Marina, a quality marina with a strong commitment to the environment, is open with 74 berths now available in Brisbane’s Scarborough Boat Harbour. The popular seaside destination of Redcliffe is 28km north of Brisbane overlooking Moreton Bay with the marina positioned on the northern side of Redcliffe Peninsula. Moreton Bay offers a sheltered water playground, bounded by Moreton and North Stradbroke Islands to the east.Redcliffe Marina is being developed by Compass Marinas, with on-water construction by Bellingham Marine Australia. It is the third marina at Scarborough Boat Harbour, joining Moreton Bay Boat Club and Scarborough Marinas. Stage one of the three-stage Redcliffe Marina includes 74 berths ranging from 10m to 15m. Upon completion there will be 120 berths at Redcliffe Marina, taking Scarborough Boat Harbour’s total berthing capacity to around 443. Compass Marinas Group is committed to preserving and protecting the marine environment by eliminating the use of timber products in the marina construction. Recycled plastic composite materials have been used on marina fingers where traditionally timber would have been used. It’s the first Unifloat marina designed and constructed by Bellingham Marine Australia utilising the unique full composite waler system. Rounded finger ends should keep boat owners happy, providing a more forgiving surface, therefore helping to reduce topside damage when berthing or manoeuvring around the marina. Vandal proofing measures are also in place which assists marina operators keep their costs down. |
