With their newly refurbished floating marina, Runaway Bay Marina now has 145 new berths in an easily navigable marina layout for vessels up to 18 metres. The large marina now has 195 wet berths plus a further 280 dry berths in their dockside dry-stack facility.
Conveniently located on the protected waters of the Gold Coast's popular waterway. the Broadwater, Runaway Bay Marina offers one of the best sheltered marina basins on the extensive waterway that stretches all the way from Surfers Paradise in the South to Moreton Bay, Brisbane in the north. With little cross tide that makes boat handling difficult in other parts of the Broadwater, Runaway Bay Marina is protected from the Tasman Sea swell by South Stradbroke Island. Access to the open water is within easy reach via the Gold Coast Seaway at the southern end of South Stradbroke. |
