Kermandie Marina & Noakes Group News

Sean Langman, Managing Director of the ever-expanding Noakes Group, will again show his 1932-built gaff-rigged 30-footer Maluka of Kermandie at the Australian Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart from 6th-9th February 2009. Maluka of Kermandie has been resting in Hobart following its second Rolex Sydney Hobart outing, and is about to go on display along with over 500 wooden craft for the city's eighth festival on the historic waterfront.

Cruise Southern Tasmania Waterways
Following the festival, wooden boat owners and visitors to the island state of Tasmania are invited to Noakes' Kermandie Marina and adjoining Kermandie Hotel. Forty five minutes south of Hobart, Kermandie Hotel's ensuite hotel rooms offer old world charm and magnificent views of the Huon River, just one of the picturesque waterways that can be explored using the marina as a base.

Noakes' Kermandie operation will soon be expanded with a boat delivery scheme to entice mainland boaters who wish to get away to the pristine waters of the Huon River and surrounding cruising areas. Noakes will offer interstaters boat delivery to Kermandie Marina, once a month airport pick up and drop off and hotel accommodation adjacent to the marina. Stay tuned for more details on yet another enhancement to the Noakes' experience.

Customer Loyalty Rewarded
For those Noakes patrons who utilise Kermandie Marina and Hotel and any of the Noakes' sites along the eastern seaboard of Australia there is a program in place to reward loyalty. Launched last year and the only one of its kind within the Australian marine industry, compasscard rewards card holders for multiple uses across all Noakes sites stretching from Kermandie in the south to Hamilton Island in the north.

As the compasscard program grows, partnerships with associate companies will be added to the mix and as the Noakes Group expands, further additional assets such as the waterfront restaurant and function centre planned for Woolwich Dock will be added.

There is no joining fee and once the application has been processed the compasscard member can immediately begin accumulating points.
