Pepper's Blue on Blue Magnetic Island Marina comprises 106 mono and multi hull berths. The berths are divided into four sections, from A to D Arms, ranging in size from 10 metres to 30 metres in length. Marina berths are available for lease for as little as one night to a longer term lease if you require. The marina sits adjacent to Peppers Blue on Blue, a five star resort complex with its own restaurant, bar, alfresco deck, swimming pools and function centre. The Marina is located at Nelly Bay on Magnetic Island and is a 20 minute ferry ride, or 7 nautical miles port to port, from Townsville where regular direct flights from most capital cities connect. Some 80% of Magnetic Island is National Park while the surrounding waterway is located within the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Part of the spectacular Palm Group of Islands on the Hinchinbrook Channel, it boasts a unique blend of natural bushland, towering hoop pines, huge granite boulders and picturesque bays laced with fine beaches. Walking tracks criss-cross the island through natural bushland, where koalas and kangaroos are likely to be encountered. Local isalnd infrastructure includes supermarkets, post office, bank, internet cafe, restaurants and bars that service the local population of approximately 3000 residents as well as a steady influx of visitors. Ferry services run regularly to and from Townsville, with both a passenger ferry and barge service operating seven days per week. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
